Girlz only false nails review…

Hey my little Brushaflies and welcome back to my blog, Brushafly Mua 🦋 Today’s blog post is about the Girlz Only False nails, these are glue on nails that you can find in your local supermarket, I found these in my local Tesco. I really wanted some glue on false nails to wear for some makeup videos I’d had planned to film for my channel and my Tiktok. But it was the end of the month and the pennies were low and being very much pinched! I usually go for the brand Elegant Touch or Primark false nails, but obviously Primark isn’t open at the moment due to Lockdown and Elegant touch were £7.99 which when I’m having a penny pinching day is not a price I want to pay. So I spotted these at my local supermarket and decided to give them a go, at £3 they sounded like a bargain and I was a little hopeful they’d be ok, I mean, Primark nails are mega cheap and wear fine, so why wouldn’t these?

Well… Whilst they glue on fine and just like other false nails I could tell instantly these were not going to last and would be the type to break easily. They had that really flimsy plastic feel to them. But I applied them anyway just to see how they would wear and how they would last up.

Once applied they actually looked quite nice, not over the top nails, but almost like a gel polish looking nail. But as I expected after wearing them for a few hours they chipped, dented and ripped at the edge. In the end I couldn’t have them long, I ended up filing them down short, which actually ended up making them stronger and they pretty much stopped breaking, denting, ripping and chipping, but I had wanted a longer than my own nail look, but it ended up not being that.

The nails have lasted a good few days, I’d say its day five today and only today has one decided to fall off.

Whilst they lasted a while, they were not great nails and didn’t give me the desired nail look I was after and what they promised. As a quick fix for a night out, event, party or youtube video, then these are ok, but you’d have to file them down to make sure they didn’t look crappy within hours. But they are not great quality. Another thing is the name ‘Girlz Only’, now I’m not being a snowflake but in this day an age makeup, clothes and nails tend to be more inclusive of all genders, not just women! I know guys that like to wear false nails too, and the name is kind of like, ‘hey you can’t be in our club’. So I don’t agree with the name but I know that guys and people that don’t like to be defined by gender can just Dismiss the name and still wear them, it’s just kind of a crappy name if I’m honest.

Would I recommend these glue on false nails?

No, they are not great. And actually I think when I want some nails again to cheat with and not use my lamp, I will go back to my beloved Elegant Touch!

I hope you enjoyed my blog post about the Girlz Only False nails, if you did why not follow my blog and keep up to date with all things makeup and beauty. Take care my Brushaflies and speak soon xoxo
