Becca Cosmetics – The end of a makeup era…

Hey my little Brushaflies and welcome back to my blog, Brushafly Mua 🦋 Today’s blog post is about one of my favourite makeup brands and how Covid has become the driving force behind their closure 😭

So I woke up to the news this morning that Becca Cosmetics, one of my favourite Boujee makeup brands is closing down later on this year. Becca are known for creating champagne coloured highlighters. The Champagne pop creator makeup brand have announced that Becca will be closing their doors in September 2021.

Becca put a statement on their Instagram page stating the sad news and that Covid was one of the reasons behind the sad impending closure.

Becca said:

‘The Global Pandemic has had an impact on everyone around the world on many levels. It has also had a tremendous impact on so many businesses. At BECCA, an accumulation of challenges, together with the Global Pandemic of COVID-19, has sadly been more than our business can withstand, and we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to close down the BECCA brand at the end of September 2021.’

I think I stand along with the Beauty World when I say that it will be such a sad loss to the beauty community. Becca have been such a well known brand for their highlighters, and skin glowing products and they really were a staple brand. I will miss them dearly, and I will treasure the products I do own from them. I wish all their employees good luck for the future as at any point in life its hard and sucks losing your job, but in a Pandemic crisis with so many people losing their jobs and looking for work, it is even more challenging. But I do wish everyone luck and I will be so sad to see them go from our makeup shelves.

To the end of a makeup era… I’m sad to see you go. 😭 Becca Cosmetics 😭

How do you feel about this? Let me know in the comments!

Take care my Brushaflies and speak soon xoxo
