My favourite metallic liquid eyeshadows…

Hey my little Brushaflies and welcome back to my blog, Brushafly Mua 🦋 Today’s blog post is about my favourite metallic liquid eyeshadows. They are the Revolution ones that I got from their 2020 Advent Calendar, which I know seems a little unfair to post it here if you can’t buy them, but Revolution do Dual eye chrome metallic liquid eyeshadows, which being Revolution, they are probably a very similar formula. Although I will need to buy them and test them out at some point hehe. But the two I do have from the Revolution Calendar are beautiful and amazing and at the moment I am wearing them daily for an easy eye look.

The two colours I have are Rose Gold and Pink. I absolutely love pairing them up with my Becca Khloe x Malika bffs face palette. The Pink one I use with the pinkier looking blush from the palette and the Rose Gold I pair up with the bronzer from the face palette.

I absolutely love using makeup in different ways, like using blush, bronzer and highlighter for eye makeup instead of just using eyeshadows. Sometimes you can create some beautiful and amazing looks by thinking outside of the box, or using makeup in different ways than intended.

Metallic liquid eyeshadows are also super easy to use, and can finish off an eye look in a flash. You can also use them in a few ways:

  • You can apply them straight from their doefoot applicator onto the eye. Blend out with the applicator and leave to dry. Its alway best to keep your lid closed for a few minutes to let it dry. If you don’t let it dry then you risk them catching on your upper eye and peeling off and going patchy.
  • You can put some on your hand and use your finger to apply the metallic liquid eyeshadow, if you apply it this way it can give it a more toned down look and it might not look as bright and vibrant as the first way to apply them.
  • Create a halo eye look. Using a matte eyeshadow cover the eye lid, then using a concealer, conceal away the middle section of the lid, then apply the metallic liquid eyeshadow on that middle section and leave to dry. This will create just a cute glow in the centre of the lid.
  • An ombre eye look. For this you need multiple colours of metallic liquid eyeshadow (3 at the least). On the inner section do one metallic liquid eyeshadow, in the middle section do another colour, and then on the outer section another colour. Be sure to do one eye at a time, because you need them to stay fairly wet when applying them all, because once they dry and you try to layer them on they can peel off. Plus when they are still damp, you can use a finger to gently blend the colours so there are no harsh lines. This look does take some practice and patience because you cannot open your eye the whole time applying and then again to let it dry.

I do own a few metallic liquid eyeshadows so I might have to do another blog post at some point comparing them all. If you would like me to do that, then shout out below in the comments so I know.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post about my favourite metallic liquid eyeshadows… If you did why not follow my blog and keep up to date with all things makeup and beauty. Take care my Brushaflies and speak soon xoxo
