Hey my little Brushaflies and welcome back to my blog, Brushafly Mua 🦋 Today’s blog post is about the Nars Concealer in Chantilly.
Everyone loves a good concealer right? I know I do! I adore Concealers that I can multi task with, like not only use it for concealer to conceal things I don’t want the world to see like those dreaded under eye bags and those ass-hat blemishes that appear when you really wish they didn’t… I mean, how rude they come along and ruin a totally good day. But I like to be able to use one as an eye primer to help eyeshadow stick properly and the colours pop.
I purchased the Nars one last year and I have to say it was an ok concealer. It worked really well as an eye primer and if I’m honest, that is what I mostly ended up using it for, my eyeshadow lasted hours upon hours and didn’t crease. Now I didn’t just use it as an eye primer because I didn’t like it as a concealer, I did, but it is a rather heavy coverage concealer and one I would only turn to if I wanted to hide a lot of ass-hats on my face (blemishes). By heavy I mean it can look a little cakey if applied to heavily, and had a tenancy on myself to look quite powdery, like I had gone OTT with my setting powder… If I’m honest, I wear a pressed powder but not really a loose setting powder, so I didn’t go too OTT. I guess the powdery look is what helped to keep the eyeshadow looking so damn good for hours on end.
Would I buy it again?
Maybe!?! I mean its not the worst I have used in the form of heaviness and cakiness. But for me personally it was heavy and slightly cakey. As an eye primer I possibly would buy it again but then it does turn into an expensive eye primer… I think if I had more disposable income then maybe, as I do like other Nars products… but when you look at the likes of Revolution and Boots No 7 that do ones just as good if not better… Is it really plausible to spend so much money on that one item?!? Probably not!!!
So although good, it’s is just good. Its not blown me away.
