Hey my little Brushaflies and welcome back to my blog, Brushafly Mua 🦋 Today’s blog post is a review on the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation… I have it in the shade 3 fair.
I received this as a sample last year in one of the Feelunique beauty sample kits. I held onto it for a while before deciding to give it a try. I used the sample and I have to say, it was really nice. So I decided to order myself the full sized bottle from Feelunique.
The foundation itself comes in a beautiful bottle which actually reminds me of a mad hatter, the bottle is his body, the white part is a kind of neck collar and the lid, is the hat lol. The bottle is glass and feels expensive and although it is in the £30 price mark (£34 to be precise) its not the most expensive foundation out there but is also not one of the cheapest, I would say its more mid – range to high – end.
The foundation applies like a dream, Charlotte recommends with a brush but I prefer the sponge way of applying foundation and I find it works so well with a sponge and gives an almost airbrush finish. It is a demi matte finish but on myself it definitely looks more dewy which I am most definitely a fan of. I also find this foundation has a long lasting finish to it and lasts well with wearing a face mask. You do get some product on your mask, obviously, but its not like other foundations that vanish at the sight of a face mask.
All in all I’m a fan of this foundation and I’m happy I purchased it. If you like the sound of this foundation but not the price, the Maybelline dream Radiant foundation (I think that’s the name) which you can find in most supermarkets is just as good and is cheaper. It does also last well with your face mask but not as well as the Charlotte Tilbury one. But as a cheaper alternative, that is a good one.
