Hey my little Brushaflies and welcome back to my blog, Brushafly Mua 🦋 Today’s blog post is a review on the Nars Dual Intensity Blush in Craving…
The Nars Dual Intensity Blush in Craving is meant to be a smooth and silky blush that can be applied dry or wet to the cheeks depending on how much of an intense look you desire. Honestly for me the one I managed to grab myself in TKMaxx last year is gorgeous but totally not my shade for a blush (There were quite a few different colour choices originally – just not in my TKMaxx).
I think if you have a more medium skin tone then maybe the bronze shade could be a blush and the pearl white shade a highlight, or if you have paler skin and prefer a browny bronze for a blush then it could be great for you. For myself, the bronze shade just screams bronzer and that is what I have used it for, and the pearl white shade, is of course a good highlight for me.
They do both have a sort of shimmer to them, so you have to be a fan of shimmer in blush, bronzer and highlighter. Which I actually don’t mind but my skin has to be in a good place to allow it, without showing too much texture.
Another way I like to use this duo is by wearing them as eyeshadows instead, and as eyeshadows, they work really well. Because of the creamy smooth texture and formula they apply to the eyelid like a dream and blend well when you want them to. I tend to apply the bronze shade first, then add some concealer, and then the highlight shade to create a glowy halo eye effect, which looks super glam. You can also use them dry and or wet, but of course when you wet them, the pan ends up looking messy. Although when wet the colour vibrancy is intensified a lot which is stunning.
Online prices vary from £27 – £32 depending on where you purchase from, which is of course on the dearer side but then again, it is Nars, and Nars are not a cheap drugstore brand. They scream expensive-ness!!!
Overall this is a cute little palette, more suited as bronzer, highlight and eyeshadow than blushes, but cute all the same.
Am I happy its in my collection, yes.
Would I buy it again? Maybe in a shade more suited to me, but I do like this one for what I use it for.
