Revolution x friends coffee cup face palette review…

Hey my little Brushaflies and welcome back to my blog, Brushafly Mua 🦋

Today’s video is me reviewing the new Revolution x Friends coffee cup face palette in light to medium. The coffee cup face palette costs £20, which is a little on the dear side for revolution product, but it is a collaboration, so I think for a collab, the price isn’t too bad. Link to revolution and the coffee cup face palette the link is not an affiliate link, just a link I thought you might find useful 😁 oh and just to add, revolution have a 3 for 2 on all their products at the moment (not including sale items) (This is correct at time of writing, the 3 for 2 won’t last for long!)

The face palette itself I have to say is damn right gorgeous! It’s chunky and looks just like a coffee cup and has a sort of fake leatherette feel to it, along with the Central Perk logo. Even if your not a friends fan but you love coffee, the design might appeal to you. The palette feels of good quality and has a decent sized mirror inside so you can do all your face makeup looking into it.

It has nine gorgeous shades in total, 3 highlighters, 3 bronzer / contour shades and 3 what I would describe as face powders. They come in a variety of tones to suit many faces from very fair to medium. Don’t worry my deeper skin gals, they also do a medium to deep coffee cup face palette too! Which I think is great because it means any friends fan, pale, medium or deep in skin tone can join in the friends fun.

The only potential downside is it doesn’t have any Blushers! Now, this is just my personal opinion, but with a face palette I like to have a bronzer, blusher and highlighter inside, and if I could change one thing, it would be that… But I do kind of like the face powders so its not all bad.

Now let’s get down to that Revolution Iconic formula and well… Its definitely there! All the shades feel super creamy, apply really well and blend out… One word of advice though, they are really pigmented so you don’t need a lot! The palest highlighter shade is also very pale, but looks super cute and gives you a dewy, glowy look, but you can build on it too if you want. The golden highlight shade is stunning and makes a great eyeshadow too.

Mentioning eyeshadow, I did use this palette to create my eyeshadow look. I used:

  • Chai in the crease and as a base shade, it was also the bronzer shade I used
  • Iced as my outer corner colour to deepen the look and give it a darker definition
  • I used a concealer to lighten my inner eye section before using Flat white as my glowy shimmer shade
  • I used Espresso as my outer corner shimmer shade
  • I put Chai under my lash line
  • And used black coffee as my inner corner highlight. It was also the highlight on my cheeks.
  • I used the shade latte as a face powder to tone down the bronzer as I went a bit OTT lol

All in all this is a fabulous face palette and is a great pair up for eyeshadow. Which is great for if you like to travel and do your face and eyes because it means carrying less makeup around with you. I think this is actually a great product for the money and would recommend to makeup lovers and friends fans alike.
