My Dream Makeup Shopping Street…

Hi my little Brushaflies, hope the week before Christmas 2020 is finding you all well?

Because it is Christmas time, and buying presents has been a huge part of my life for the past few weeks… I mean I have my kids, the dog, the husband, my mum, sister, grandad parents, friends, the kids teachers etc… So that is a lot of people to buy for. This year I decided to make spa in a jar for many of them, but that is for another blog post! But because I done spa in a jar I needed little pieces of makeup and skincare to put inside them, which then had me gallivanting round the makeup shops both on the street (not so much due to covid) and online (more so because I could do it in my Pj’s and avoid the crowds)… But it had me thinking… What would my dream street full of makeup shops look like? What brands would I choose?

Now if I chose every single makeup brand and gave them a shop on the high street, I imagine that street would be miles and miles long… But truth be told, I don’t like every single makeup brand, but I do like quite a few lol. If I was to give myself maybe the average high Street and then fill it up, what would I include and what would it look like? Would I have a high-end section and a drugstore section? Or just mix and mash all the shops together?

Well, because I actually enjoyed this idea, I decided to doodle my own street, that pretty much became a whole shopping centre district. I based the shape of the centre on the Ashford Designer outlet in Ashford UK. I love the design of the area, I like the roundness of the centre and how the shops are within walking distance of each other. Plus the food area is a good choice because obviously shopping makes for hungry shoppers. I did decide to make mine a two story shopping centre, which is slightly different to the Ashford Outlet which is only on one level. I just thought that way I could fit in more of my favourite makeup shops.

Here is my doodle…

So, what makeup shops would I include?

  • Kylie cosmetics – By Kylie Jenner
  • KKW – Kim Kardashian West
  • Colourpop
  • ABH – Anastasia Beverly Hills
  • By Terry
  • Ciate
  • Clarins
  • Estee Lauder
  • Huda Beauty
  • The Body Shop
  • Morphe
  • No 7
  • Maybelline
  • Revolution
  • E.L.F
  • Inc.Redible
  • Profusion
  • Avon
  • Urban Decay
  • Smashbox
  • Real Techniques
  • Primark ps
  • Rimmel
  • M.A.C
  • Dior
  • YSL
  • Tati Beauty
  • Elizabeth Arden
  • Charlotte Tilbury
  • Fenty Beauty – By Rihanna
  • Nars
  • A food court – Because shoppers need to recharge and refuel for round 2
  • Kids play park – To keep the kids happy whilst mummy’s are shopping
  • Car park – Because I’m not carrying it all home
  • Places to sit and rest in the middle of the shopping centre – to make it more picturesque and tranquil after the craziness of the shops

As you can see there is a nice mixture of High-end and drugstore brands which are my favourite brands and which would star in my dream makeup shopping street. Obviously these are just the brands I have tried, liked and enjoyed. There are hundreds of other brands out there that are probably just as good but I just haven’t discovered them yet! Maybe next year I will have to do an updated version just to see if my makeup tastes change.

If you like my doodle and my dream makeup street, then why not do your own. If you do, let me know, as I’d love to see them 😁

Thanks for reading my little Brushaflies and speak soon xoxo
